A few nights ago the fireflys were out in droves. It had occurred to me that a long exposure of them in a confined space could look pretty cool. So I caught a bunch and loosely locked them in a mason jar. I had imagined the fireflys would be excited in their little cage and would blink on and off in spectacular and exciting patterns. So exciting in fact, that I should setup both cameras.
It didn’t turn out that way.
Only two of the bugs I caught lit up while the rest seemed content to remain un-illuminated. So I instead took this shot of my other camera during a long exposure. If you look closely one of the bugs is lit. …spence
