A portrait of my parents while they showed us around a forested area near their rural home in East Bethel Minnesota, USA.

In a previous post I mentioned getting closer to authentic skin tones while shooting with the gel. This is about the best I've managed yet. I like the warm highlights of the fall colors in the background contrast against the cool blue burns from the gel.

The blue reciprocity failure in the top right corner of the shot is an interesting artifact. It reminds me of running a film negative through developer with a bit of tape covering part of the frame. Its little defects that make the photo for me. ...s
